The motion to accept the new nepotism policy was lost after a 4-4 vote, with board members Becker, Prince-Jones, Ron Stoloff and Tracie Walsh voting against it. Board action may occur at a regular meeting. The impetus for this policy change is that the district had approximately 70 late registrations this year, most occurring in the elementary school level, said policy committee Chair Sherri Becker. An Ambler resident, Hayman said she looks forward to continuing to serve the district in this new role.
